In Chapter 8 of And Then the End Will Come, Love Grown Cold, I explain that in the last days persecution of Christians is likely to increase. This morning I spotted an article that documents something unprecedented: a pastor in Finland--a nominally "Christian" country--being put on trial for "hate speech." His crime? Writing and publishing his Biblically-based views on sex and marriage. I'm sad to say that the Bible predicts more and more events like this in the coming days. As followers of Jesus, we need to be "strong in the Lord and in his mighty power" so that we can "take our stand" against this kind of opposition, equipped with the "full armor of God."
As Paul says in that passage in Ephesians 6, "always keep on praying for all the saints." Let's pray together that God will shower down his grace on our brother Juhanna Pohjola, and that Juhanna will be "full of grace and truth" as he endures this persecution.
